This year celebration of the European Union 50th anniversary (of the Treaty of Rome) will serve as excellent opportunity to focus on two lines for action defined in the European Charter for Small Enterprises and Lisbon Agenda as well.
Entrepreneurial education is foreseen as a foundation for continuous development of knowledge based economy and as a tool for fostering entrepreneurial attitudes and skills among young people. In this regard, the EU Day conference will serve as an excellent platform to stimulate discussion and debate among national, regional and international policy makers, professors, representative organisations and experts on how to further support development of entrepreneurship education and how entrepreneurship education can be turned into growth and stimulation of jobs.
Furthermore, the EU Day conference aims to focus on the importance of business incubation and the opportunities available in the Western Balkan region and EU to the start-ups in the form of affordable infrastructure, management expertise, consultancy and other value added services. In addition, the conference will address the importance of establishment of national business incubation associations and try to provide answers on major challenges and pitfalls of their establishment. Moreover, it will serve as unique platform for exchanging experiences and best practices from the WB region and EU on business incubation and national incubation associations.
