The European Day of Entrepreneur - "Entrepreneurship and Regional Cooperation towards the EU integration process"

It is our honor to present you the first edition of the European Day of Enterpreneur Macedonia 2006, which will take place on 9th and 10th May 2006 in Skopje, the Republic of Macedonia.

The organization of the European day of the Entrepreneur was initiated by Eurocities, Europe’s major cities network. The European commission supported the idea and included the project in the PAXIS pilot initiative for start up creation. After a phase of gathering ideas from Eurocities members and taking advantage of the original event El Dia del Emprendor, hosted by the city of Barcelona, Spain, the European Day of the Entrepreneur is spreading throughout Europe. The main idea of the day is to promote entrepreneurship not only locally but to foster regional and international cooperation.

The Europe Day celebration 2006 focuses on entrepreneurship and regional economic cooperation of the Western Balkan countries. It is organised in Skopje by the Ministry of the Economy of the RM, the City of Skopje, the Agency for Entrepreneurship Promotion of the RM the European Business Association, MRFP and ATA, with the support of the EC Delegation.

As economic development is the main challenge facing the development of Republic of Macedonia and the wider region, this year’s event is titled: “European Day of Entrepreneur – Entrepreneurship and Regional Cooperation towards the EU integration process”.
