The Municipality of Kuršumlija, the least developed municipality with the highest rate of poverty and unemployment in the Republic of Serbia, will spend one million RSD, approximately 11.000 Euros, on entrepreneurship development. The beneficiaries of the trainings will be organized as part of the JOBS project, implemented by the Business Incubator Center (Prokuplje) and supported by SPARK through Job creation through support to the SME sector initiative.
The project is funded through a part of the municipal budget in order to contribute to the reduction of the unemployment and the Municipality of Kuršumlija will also support additional activities of the JOBS project. The beneficiaries of the trainings, which will be organized as project activities, will be invited to submit their business plans to an open competition which the Municipality of Kuršumlija and the Business Incubator Center will announce during the trainings. The most successful business plans will be financially supported by the Municipality of Kuršumlija. This contribution to the project is of great importance for future project beneficiaries; it is also a good example to other municipalities regarding how to solve the problem of youth unemployment.
