Introduction of ECTS at Universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina PDF Print E-mail

Background information
Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently in the process of transition and reform implemented in all segments of society. An important aspect of transition and reform concerns the higher education system. The position of the BiH universities today requires strategic change and radical reform. Cooperation between students, teachers, and universities needs to be encouraged - within Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also beyond. This is induced by the introduction of specific organizational mechanisms, i.e. by introduction of European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), by the creation of a system of Quality Assurance including self-evaluation and quality maintenance, and by the adoption of the Bachelor-Master structure. These are all preconditions for further national and international cooperation and recognition. For more information, please refer to www.ects.untz.ba.
