Opening University Incubator BiH PDF Print E-mail
On 22 June, the first university incubator in Bosnia & Herzegovina opened its doors. The incubator, named the Intelligence Commercialisation Unit (ICU), has been founded by Business Start-up Centre Zenica together with the University of Zenica, joining hands in supporting technical-oriented youngsters with innovative entrepreneurial ideas.

The incubator, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Commission, connects academia to the external business world in order to stimulate the development of small and medium sized enterprises in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It follows the success of the two incubators that were already established in Serbia and Macedonia, as part of the Business Start-up Centres Kragujevac and Bitola.

Through the provision of entrepreneurial, educational and technical services, the ICU aims to increase the number of companies that survive the market, thereby contributing to the economic development of the region. All the Business Plan Winners of Business Start-Up Centre Zenica will be invited to make use of the Incubator and its services.
