Currently we are recruiting an Intern Private Sector Development
  

SPARK is a young, dynamic development organisation with 40 staff members in offices and Business Start-up Centres in Amsterdam, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia. SPARK develops higher education and entrepreneurship, so that young ambitious people are empowered to lead their post-conflict society into prosperity. To achieve this, SPARK organises Summer Universities and supports young entrepreneurs to start-up their own business by means of business plan competitions, skills training and advice.

We are currently looking for an intern to support specific project activities for the South East European Business Start-up Centres project (BSCs). You will be based in Amsterdam. The internship will be for a minimum of four months full time starting 1 August.

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • Assist in the organisation of a conference on entrepreneurship;
  • Organisation of public debates and events in Amsterdam;
  • Support in the organisation of study visits to the Netherlands by project stakeholders (stakeholders are representatives from government, education and business);
  • Connect interested international business coaches with new SPARK entrepreneurs in South East Europe;
  • Assist in the organisation and evaluation of Business Skills Training sessions;
  • General project support.


Requirements & assests:

  • Good English and Dutch language skills;
  • Good communication and social skills and able to work in a multicultural setting;
  • Good team worker while able to work independently;
  • Proven organisational and leadership skills;
  • Preferably business-oriented study background;
  • Preferably available as soon as possible.
  • Currently enrolled at a University or Hogeschool in the Netherlands.


What does SPARK offer?

  • An international and dynamic working experience;
  • Remuneration of 175 (0.5 fte) or 350 (1 fte) Euro/month (net);
  • (On-the-job) coaching and guidance;
  • Possibilities to travel to South East Europe.
