Currently we are recruiting an Intern Business College Mitrovica

SPARK is a young, dynamic development organisation with 40 staff members in offices and Business Start-up Centres in Amsterdam, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia. SPARK develops higher education and entrepreneurship, so that young ambitious people are empowered to lead their post-conflict society into prosperity. To achieve this, SPARK organises Summer Universities and supports young entrepreneurs to start-up their own business by means of business plan competitions, skills training and advice.

We are currently looking for a flexible all-round intern to support the planning team of a new international business college in the city of Mitrovica. You will be based in Amsterdam and/or Pristina and/or Mitrovica and will start on 1 September. The internship will be for 6 months full-time.

What will be your main tasks?

• Assist the planning team of a new international business college in Mitrovica;
• Assist in the logistical arrangements for the Transitional Year Programme (English and maths lessons for prospective students);
• Assist in the preparation of college regulations and statutes;
• Assist in student administration and reporting;
• Assist in the recruitment of English teachers and College staff;
• Assist in the launch of an online scholarship database;
• Assist in any other college related matters or other tasks as assigned by the Head of Office or Project Manager

Requirements & assets:

• HBO, BA or MA current or recently graduated student;
• Excellent spoken and written English (essential) and Dutch (asset) language skills;
• Academic background in Business studies or a related field (asset);
• Experience of working abroad (asset);
• Good communication and social skills and ability to work in a multicultural setting (essential);
• Ability to work independently and part of a team (essential).

• An international and dynamic working experience;
• Remuneration of 350 (1 fte) Euro/month (gross);
• (On-the-job) coaching and guidance; 
• Contribution to travel costs;
• Modest accommodation when staying in Pristina or Mitrovica.
