youth_seen_2.jpgSPARK, together with UpToYouToo, cosponsored an all-day event on 25 May in Amsterdam. This event, named Youth SEEN, gathered experts, practitioners, and NGOs to discuss youth entrepreneurship. Speakers from Kenya, Senegal, Rwanda, Jordan, USA, UK and the Netherlands looked into this aspect in developing countries around the world.

Stimulating Youth Entrepreneurship

The conference was held at the historic Vondelkerk, in Vondelpark. youth__seen.jpgThe goal was to provide a forum whereby NGOs, experts, students and interested parties could collaborate and discuss the topic of stimulating youth entrepreneurship in developing countries. It aimed to tackle issues and themes of youth unemployment and discussed the potential of self-employment and entrepreneurship among young people in struggling economies.

The diverse group of speakers informed the audience about their personal and professional experience with Youth Business Strategies, as well as facilitated panel discussions and plenary sessions. The attendees were invited to join the discussions, share experiences and learn from others. Furthermore, Master Students and researchers were invited to come explore opportunities for conducting investigations with the attending organisations.

After Party

After a long day of discussions, presentations, debates and exchanges, all the attendees were invited to join the after party in Cafe Zouk where the conversations continued amid music and drinks.
