ICT Business Incubator in Baku PDF Print E-mail
In 2007 SPARK was invited by TAM/BAS (EBRD) to join on a mission to Khazar University to look into the development of an ICT Incubator in Baku. In 2009 the result will be the establishment of the Baku ICT Business Incubator (BIBI).

The Business Incubator promotes entrepeneurship in the field of ICT Business, thereby increasing employment opportunities for youth and disadvantaged groups in the non-oil sector of the economy in Azarbaijan. By generating employment, the project is aimed at direct poverty reduction, and pays special attention to the inclusion of women and internally displaced persons.

The BIBI will provide vocational entreprenurial training, advisory services and incubation space. Also, it will map out business obstacles and advocate for their removal.
