European Commission recognises SPARK's "Development of a Lifelong Learning Framework in Serbia" PDF Print E-mail

The TEMPUS IV project application  "DEVELOPMENT OF LIFELONG LEARNING FRAMEWORK IN SERBIA (DELFIS)" represents a collective effort by the University of Kraguevac, SPARK, and regional universities and Serbian governmental institutions to improve the quality of education and create business-university links for increased employability of students.

The main goal of this project is the development of lifelong learning framework in Serbia. This is in line with Serbian national priorities: development of lifelong learning in society at large and, to a certain extent, with the training of non-university teachers, development of partnerships with enterprises and definition of qualification framework.

The development of a national strategy for lifelong learning in Serbia shall help to ensure a successful transition to a knowledge-based economy and society. Therefore, it is seen vital to create the institutional framework, develop institutional mechanisms and define the infrastructure for the realisation of the concept of lifelong learning. Currently, the universities in Serbia, together with the Ministry of Education and the association of employers, are in the process of determining present and future needs of certain types of qualifications and professions. This will be an ongoing process, address challenges such as the aging of European societies and require a variety of training courses for Serbian professors and non-university teachers.
Among international and regional universities and governmental institutions of Serbia, SPARK has been actively involved in this project and contributed to its success. We would like to thank all for their cooperation!
