The incubator hosts 8 young entrepreneurs and provides support to grow their business.








Business Incubator Bitola is an integral part of Business Start-up Centre Bitola (
BSC Bitola). BSC Bitola supports young entrepreneurs to start up their business by providing training, consultancy, microfinance and incubation services to entrepreneurs in the country.

map_bib.jpgThe aim is to support the development of small and medium sized enterprises in order to foster economic growth and reduce youth unemployment in the Pelagonija region (Macedonia).

Business Incubator Bitola (BIB) together with the Center for development of new businesses –Bitola (BSC Bitola) is a project created by 6 partners:
  • Municipality Bitola
  • University ‘St. Climent Ohridski’
  • Technical Faculty – Bitola
  • Agency for support of entrepreneurship in the Republic of Macedonia
  • Regional chamber of Commerce – Bitola
  • Regional Center for support of entrepreneurship
BSC Bitola and the Incubator are part of the regional network of business centers and business incubators of South East Europe (SENSI Network).

At present there are already 8 tenants, young entrepreneurs making use of the office space in Business Incubator Bitola. The beneficiaries of the offices and services of the BIB have proven to be the best positioned starting businesses from the “Business Plan Competition”, which is held every year in the frame of Business Start Up Center Bitola.

Official Opening
On Monday, 3 November the Grand Opening of Business Incubator Bitola took place. There were 150 people present on the event, among which representatives from the Ministry of Economy, public institutions of Bitola, the business sector, BSC centers from the region, NGOs, partners of BSC Bitola, SPARK and citizens of Bitola.

The mayor of the municipality of Bitola, Mr. Vladimir Talevski, opened the event by expressing his gratitude to SPARK Netherlands and BSC Bitola for opening this center in order to support  young entrepreneurs.  A speech was also given by the rector of the University ‘St. Climent Ohridski’, Prof. Dr. Zlatko Zoglev, who likewise expressed his gratitude to BSC Bitola for the support in fostering entrepreneurship at the university. His speech was followed by an address made by Mr. Philip Hostert, Program Manager at SPARK Netherlands. He pointed out the success of BSC Bitola in opening the first incubator from the BSC centers in the region and he expressed his gratitude to the team for this success, as well as to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support given to this project. Mrs. Rozita Talevska Hristovska, director of BSC Bitola, expressed her gratitude to the Municipality, the University and all the local partners and supporters of the programme for the assistance in the establishment of the Incubator and especially to the BSC Bitola team, without whom the Business Incubator wouldn’t have been realized.
