Spark develops education and entrepreneurship so that young and ambitious people are empowered to lead their post-conflict society into prosperity. We build the capacity of local economic and educational institutions so they can empower their own populations. The organisation actively mobilises support for this within Dutch Society, especially with economic and educational institutions.

Summer Universities 2008

International Summer University of Macedonia 2008 Approximately 350 students and academics from
Macedonia and the rest of the world participated in the International Summer University Macedonia 2008. ISUM was organized by St. Kliment Ohridski University Bitola, the South-East European University (SEE) Tetovo, State University Tetovo, St. Cyril and Methodius University Skopje, and SPARK. The program consisted of twelve intensive courses in the fields of Law, Economics, Business Administration, Education Science and Teacher Training, taught by visiting professors from Europe and
North America in co-operation with professors from the participating faculties.”
Mitrovica Summer Courses 2008
This summer, SPARK and its local partners University of Mitrovica, NGOs DDA and Jelena Anzujska, organised the 3rd edition of the Mitrovica Summer Courses. Approximately 180 local and international students and academics participated. MSC 2008 programme consisted of 6 intensive, academic courses of two weeks taught by international professors together with local professors in the fields of Law, Economy, Social Sciences and Conflict Studies.
