Mitrovica
Winter University (MWU) 2010
The call for professors and lecturers to teach at the Mitrovica
Winter University 2010 is now closed.
The MWU 2010 will be held between 23 January till 5 February 2010 offering 6
courses. Each course will be co-taught by an international professor and a
local co-professor. Additionally, an assistant professor will lead workshops in
the afternoon for each course. The MWU gives students the opportunity to learn
and share experiences with the lecturers.

The course program and the course description are determined by the professors.
Thus, the topics listed above are tentative and will be confirmed. Professors
teach pro bono and SPARK covers travel, accommodation and food during the two
week stay. All the courses will be taught in English some with simultaneous
translation into Serbian.
Nablus Summer Academy (NSA)
The first edition of the Nablus Summer Academy (NSA) was held from 5 till 16 July 2009 at the An-Najah National University in Nablus, Palestine. The NSA aimed to offer intensive training for local and international (senior) students and young academic staff. This Summer Academy provided an opportunity for international and regional students and professors to meet and exchange ideas. The Nablus Summer Academy offered courses in the following fields:
- International Humanitarian Law
- Public International Law
- Human Rights Law

Liberia Summer University (LSU)
The first edition of the Liberia Summer University (LSU) was held between 6-24 July 2009. The LSU was mainly focused on faculty development. The teaching faculty (regardless their academic disciplines) from member universities of the Association of Liberian Universities and senior undergraduate students had an opportunity to improve their skills. The courses were intended for improving the following skills:
- Writing skills
- Research skills
- Computer skills, including internet and email
- Course planning, classroom management and evaluation and assessment methods
- Business plan development skills

International Pristina Summer University (PSU)
The 9th edition of the PSU is organised by the University of Pristina, only with limited assistance of SPARK. Around 15 visiting professors together with 15 local co-professors from the
University of
Pristina offered an equal number of (ECTS-graded) summer courses in a variety of disciplines i.e. the Social Sciences, Law, Economics, Arts, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Physical Education, and others.
