Final Private Sector Development Conference takes place on 24-25 June 2008 PDF Print E-mail

Representatives from Ministries of Economy, Business Associations, Universities and Chambers of Commerce from the Western Balkan region participated in the Final PSD Conference in Ohrid, Macedonia on the 24-25 June 2008. The conference served as a closure of the project Private Sector Development (PSD) in the Western Balkans ending on 30 June 2008. 

The evaluation of the PSD-I project took place on the conference giving the project partners an opportunity to reflect on results and achievements of the project and their sustainability.  A follow-up PSD-II proposal was discussed in the second session of the conference, which led the stakeholder representatives to two working groups. In the working groups the two main elements of the PSD-II project proposal were discussed:   


  • Establishment of Regional Master's and Bachelor courses on Entrepreneurship
  • Establishment of Regional Association of SME Development Agencies

A PSD-II proposal has been submitted to the Dutch Government. When and if approved, the below mentioned project partners and other institutions from the Western Balkans will continue their regional collaboration on the basis of the Private Sector Development - II  project.
