"Public relations"
The Agency for Entrepreneurship Promotion of the Republic of Macedonia and SPARK jointly organised a 2.5 days intensive and practice priented training on "Public Relations". This intensive training introduced the trainees how to easily and effectively get into the world of PR. The training helped them understand the full range of available PR tools and tactics, and the ideas that will link them together in a strategy that will generate business results. This seminar gave a thorough and practical grounding in the fundamental concepts and tactics of effective PR. The training provided participants with a solid understanding of the role, scope and potential of public relations, expressed through practical experience of key skills necessary to achieve maximum publicity and recognition in the market. Training was held from 28-30 March 2008 in Skopje.

"Effective Trade Fair Participation - Fruits and Vegetables sector"
Serbian Chamber of Commerce – Centre for Education, SPARK, in cooperation with the CBI (Centre for the promotion of imports from developing countries), and Larive Serbia organised three day training event on: “Effective Trade Fair Participation - Fruits and Vegetables sector”, 21-23 April 2008 in Belgrade.
The objective of the training was to assist selected companies (i.e. company-representatives) in establishing successful contacts with EU-buyers from the fruit and vegetables sector during the Novi Sad Agro fair (10-17 May 2008). The training was focused on SMEs from the fruit and vegetable sector, which are already exporting to the EU or have the potential to start exporting to the EU.
The programme included the following topics: • Trend & developments on EU markets fruit and vegetables; • EU buyer requirements and expectations • Tools to communicate with an European export market; • Effective exhibition strategy; • Stand design & decoration; • Stand behaviour & follow-up of trade fair participation; • EU Distribution channels

"The role of Chambers in realizing the potential benefits of CEFTA"
In collaboration with the Standing Forum of Chambers of Commerce on CEFTA 2006 (CEFTA 2006 Forum), the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce and SPARK organised a workshop on “The role of Chambers in realizing the potential benefits of CEFTA”, which was held in Hotel Drim, Struga, Republic of Macedonia on 12-13 June 2008, and was hosted by the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce.
The overall objective of the workshop was to support the further development of the Standing Forum of Chambers of Commerce on CEFTA 2006, an initiative that enjoys the support of the Joint Committee of CEFTA and the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe. The workshop was meant to discuss the role, strategic options and needs of Chambers of Commerce of the CEFTA region in the promotion of the regional trade and the implementation of CEFTA. The workshop was facilitated by an international expert, Mr. Garry Morrissey and local facilitator, Mrs. Ljubica Nuri.
The main target group for the workshop was senior Chamber staff from the CEFTA region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, UNMIK/Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro and Serbia,) as well as company representatives from these countries.
