Winners of the third regional PSD Business Plan Competition announced |

The third regional PSD business plan competition was officially finished by announcing the winners at the Bitola Business Start-Up Center ceremony on 17th October 2007. The conference hall of the Hotel Epinal was small to accept all young (potential) entrepreneurs, local administration representatives, local businesses interested in the competition. Three best candidates of the regional PSD business plan competition needed to accomplish one more victory – to present their business plan to the international jury and convince them once more that they are the best, better then others!
After the presentations a professional jury consisting of international experts, made decision and announced the winners:
“Euro Consulting Macedonia” won the first prize and strives to become the leading company in Macedonia in the field of consultancy services related to preparation, application and management of projects submitted for financing from various EU funds. The team from Macedonia will use the prize of 9.000 € to establish consulting company which will offer and provide expert assistance to eligible applicants for EU funding in Macedonia.
Second prize went to students from Kosovo, and their project “Te Fala”. “Te Fala” project aims to create an online platform which will enable Albanians worldwide to place an order online and consequently establish closer ties with their families at home by sending gifts.
Innovative business idea, “Small Power Wind Generators (Turbines) For Individual Production of Electric Power” won the third prize and brought excellent opportunities to the group of young students from Serbia to start their own business and bring an innovative way of energy production into Serbian and European energy market.
SPARK strongly believes that the starting capital will help winners to implement and start-up their own businesses. Besides financial support, SPARK will continue to monitor and will assist with expertise in the implementation of the business plans.
The regional business plan competition is organized by SPARK (formerly known as ATA) in close cooperation with higher education and economic development partners from the Western Balkan region (i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovicna, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).
