Successful Dubrovnik Conference on Higher Education PDF Print E-mail

From 29 to 31 October the highly successful Dubrovnik Conference on Higher Education; Addressing Questions on Institutional Reforms in Creating the European Higher Education Area took place.

This conference was hosted by the University of Zagreb and financially supported by SPARK and attended by Spark's project manager Annelies van den Berg and co-director Michel Richter. The latter held an introductory speech on Higher Education Institutional Reforms - An Emergency Bridge between the Societies in Conflict. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for Spark to plea for regional cooperation among universities in Southeast Europe as well as the necessity for these universities to contribute to economic prosperity and political stability. Read Michel Richter's introductory speech here

Along various university representatives from Southeast Europe, relevant international organizations such as the Council of Europe, the European University Association, The European Student union and the Stability Pact for southeast Europe were present. Read more about the conference here.
