Supervisory Board
Creation of a Supervisory Board (Raad van Toezicht) and a Board of Directors (Bestuur) have been chosen to direct the process of improving the level of transparency, a criteria for Centraal Bureau Fondsenwerving (CBF) and Code Wijffels. Both organisations have developed codes for good governance. Consequently, in 2006, preparations have been made for the creation of a new organisational structure based on a clear distinction between the function of supervising the organisation and the function of managing the organisation. This has resulted in an aim to create a Supervisory Board and a Board of Directors in 2007. Both bodies will be in line with the prescribed criteria of CBF and the Code Wijffels for good governance. These codes are both generally accepted by Dutch NGOs in the field of development cooperation. This new structure has been implemented in the organisation in April 2007.
