We build the capacity of local economic and educational institutions so they can empower their own populations. The organisation actively mobilises support for this within Dutch Society, especially with economic and educational institutions.

Opening BSC Bar PDF Print E-mail

Business Start-Up Centre Bar (BSC Bar) officially opened its offices with the grand opening ceremony organized on the 19th of July in restaurant SAMBA in Bar.

The Official Opening Ceremony was attended by around 100 representatives of various companies, small and medium entraprises, educational and other institutions in Montenegro. Guests of honour were: the Deputy Minister for the economic development - Mr. Dragan Kujović, the Adviser for economic affairs in the Embassy of The Kingdom of The Netherlands - Mrs. Janna van der Velde, Secretary of Finance in the Municipality Bar - Mr. Dragan Nišavić and the Director of The Directorate for Small and Medium Enterprises - Mr. Mr. Zoran Vukčević. The ceremony was followed by 3 national newspapers, few regional press agencies and one national TV.

Director of SPARK (earlier ATA - Academic Training Association) Mr Yannick dy Pont opened together with Mr. Dragan Nisavic, representative of Municipality Bar, symbolically "The door to our opportunities" by cutting the red ribbon. After short speeches from the guests of honour, the participants enjoyed the traditional Montenegrin dance presented by Cultural Artistic group "Jedinstvo" which was followed by cocktail.
Business Start-Up Centre Bar is established based on the framework of the four-year-long project „The Opening of Business Start-Up Centres and Incubators 2007-2010" financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The main partner on this project is the Municipality of Bar which contributes to the project with office and incubator space, its adaptation and the promotion of the project itself. Other partners are the Cultural Centre of Bar, Employment Bureau - Bar, Faculty for Tourism, Hotel Management and Trade, Secondary Economic School, Association of Entrepreneurs of Bar, Association of Cultivars of Olives, Agricultural Association - Mrkojevici, Association of Unemployed Women and Montenegro Business Alliance.

Concretely, the first trainings - Business Skills Trainings will be organised in Bar in the timeframe from the 3rd until the 28th September 2007. After the trainings, there will be business plan competition in 2 phases. The authors of best business plans, selected by Selection Committee,  according to their needs will be provided by following services: office spaces, help with registration of company, advisory services from local and international experts and micro-credits from 1 000 euros to 10 000 euros.
